Margit is one of Elden Ring's earliest major progression checks on the Stormveil route. The fight tests weapon upgrades, survivability and especially patience against delayed attack timing.
Prepare before forcing attempts
- Upgrade the weapon you actually plan to keep using.
- Invest enough in Vigor that one mistake is not instantly fatal.
- Bring healing appropriate for a longer learning fight.
- Use summons if they fit the way you want to play.
Delayed timing
Margit punishes panic rolling because several attacks are held longer than players expect. Watch the release of the attack instead of reacting only to the first animation.
Choose safe punish windows
Do not attack after every dodge. Wait for larger strings to finish, then take a reliable punish rather than risking a long combo that overlaps the next attack.
If you feel underpowered
Stormveil is not the only thing you can do. More exploration, weapon upgrades and basic survivability can make the fight easier without changing your entire build.
