Elden Ring Bosses & Progression

A route-planning hub for major encounters without pretending Elden Ring has only one correct path.

Elden Ring is deliberately less linear than many RPGs. Some bosses are tied closely to major progression, while many others are optional and reward exploration, equipment, runes or story.

Do not treat every boss as mandatory

If one encounter blocks you, exploration is often a valid response. Weapon upgrades, more Vigor, better talismans or simply learning another region can make the next attempt much easier.

Major progression route examples

GameHelpX currently covers a chain of major encounters including Margit, Godrick, Rennala, Radahn, Morgott, Fire Giant, Maliketh, Godfrey and the final Radagon/Elden Beast sequence.

How to prepare for a boss

  • Check weapon or casting-tool upgrade level.
  • Make sure survivability matches the stage of the game.
  • Choose talismans that solve the current encounter's problem.
  • Use a build you understand instead of constantly rebuilding between attempts.

Build-specific preparation

Strength, Dexterity and sorcery setups solve fights differently. Use the build pages and Stat Planner to adjust one variable at a time rather than rebuilding the whole character after one bad attempt.

How to use this hub

Open the individual boss page when you need fight-specific planning; use Weapons, Talismans and Builds when the real issue is your loadout rather than the moveset.
