Gears of War: E-Day is scheduled for October 6, 2026, with up to five days of Early Access for Premium Edition players beginning October 1. Coverage currently focuses on release readiness, modes and platform setup.

Current launch status

The Coalition says the game has gone gold. Premium Edition Early Access begins October 1, followed by the October 6 global release.

Confirmed platforms

Xbox lists Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam, with day-one Game Pass availability for eligible plans.

Confirmed play modes

The campaign supports solo play, console split-screen co-op and online co-op. Horde Siege provides PvE multiplayer, while Versus covers PvP.
